Five on Friday

Linking up again on this raining Friday.  Thank you DarciAprilChristina and Natasha for the link-up!

1---Hunger Games!  We bought tickets to go see it this Sunday morning.  That means no backing out, we have to get up and go.  I can't wait :)

2---Justin Timberlake Concert was amazing last weekend.  He didn't start on time but played for 2 hrs and 40 mins with a short intermission.  The concert ended at 11:40 pm.  I am so grateful to my husband for dropping us off and picking us up letting us truly enjoy ourselves.

3---Good food this weekend.  Sushi date last Friday was definitely a success.  It was so tasty!  Then Saturday before the concert, we decided to get pizza from my brother's restaurant Harvest Pizzeria.  The special was buffalo chicken pizza.  It was so good.  Looking at these pictures make me want to go back right now!

4---We found Tinsley's tennis ball on Monday and had fun playing with it.  During my Target trip on Wednesday, I saw two tennis ball pack in the dollar section and decided to get her a pack.  Good thing I did because when I got home, she had decided to rip her current tennis ball apart.

5--- On my rainy drive to work yesterday, I couldn't help but love the sunrise.  It was the perfect pinks and purples.  I tried to get a picture at the red light, but it's not that easy when your driving towards the city.

Throwback Thursday-Thanksgiving in the Cabin

Every other Thanksgiving Jonathan's family rents a cabin in Hocking Hills.  This picture is from two years ago, my first time attending.  A week from today, we will be back in the woods for Thanksgiving 2013.  Although I am sad to leave Tinsley behind, I know she will be in good hands with my family.  Bring on lots of relaxing, hikes, food, drink, and hanging out with family.

Christmas Wish List

Found this link-up yesterday and am so excited to participate for the next few weeks.  Thank you Jen and Elise for their "these are a few of my favorite things" link-up series! Here is what is on my wish list this year:

*New books for my Kindle- Insurgent and Allegiant

*Blu-Rays- The Little Mermaid and Monsters University (kid at heart)

*White Fossil Watch (I love having a watch on at school everyday)
*Pandora Leather Bracelet

*Gift Cards (always accepted)

*New toys and treats for Tinsley- In the beginning she was not very interested in toys but now that she is comfortable in our home she loves to play and chew all kinds of bones.  She has done a good job of chewing up some toys and I would love to get some new toys to gradually introduce her to this winter.

I have a little over half of our gifts bought for all of our family and friends this year and I can't wait to give them to everyone.  I am now down to the tough gifts and am trying hard to think of something good to get the people left on our list.  Christmas is such a fun and magical time.  I love seeing all of our favorite people including lots of family and friends.  Can't wait for the celebrations to begin :)

Meal Planning

Let's review what we had to eat last week since I didn't post what I was planning on making:

Saturday-  We went back to Dayton to celebrate Kelsey's birthday with Jonathan's family at Red Robin.  I had not been to Red Robin in a few years.  It was very good and I have decided we shouldn't wait so long to go there next time.

Sunday- I have been wanting SkyLine for a few weeks.  We decided to stop on our way back to Columbus and it was delicious!

Monday- Spicy Sausage with zucchini, squash, onions, and rice: Cook the rice and sauté the sausage and veggies in a frying pan.

Tuesday-Campbell's Slow Cooker Apple Bourbon BBQ Pulled Pork with a salad.  This was our first time trying these sauces and it was a success.  I want to try the other flavors now.  It was too easy!

Wednesday- Chicken topped with Acocado and Swiss Cheese with ravioli

Thursday- Hamburgers with a salad

Friday- Sushi Date

Saturday- Leftovers

This week we plan on having Crockpot Mexican Chicken, Baked Ravioli (we have been planning on trying this for a while now), and Grilled cheese with soup.  Any other suggestions of what to have?  I am trying hard to cook as often as possible to save money and eat healthier before the holidays.

Five on Friday

So glad it is Friday!  Thank you DarciAprilChristina and Natasha for the link-up!

#1- I can't wait to go to the Justin Timberlake concert tomorrow night with my bestie.  We will definitely be dancing the night away!

#2-  Last Friday, I ended up babysitting as the family was feeling better.  That meant that my husband I didn't go out to eat.  We decided that we would go out for a sushi date this Friday instead.  We haven't had sushi in a while so I am pretty excited.  I can taste it already.  Yum :)

#3- Has anyone seen Santa at the mall already?!?!?!  I was in disbelief.  Of course there was no line, so Lucas and I had to stop and go see him.  We figured we were the first ones to see Santa this year.  When Santa asked Lucas what he wanted for Christmas this year, Lucas responded by saying "I don't know yet."

#4- Hunger Games Catching Fire comes out in 1 week and I am super excited to go see it.  We are not ones to go see movies right when they come out or in theaters for that matter.  However, I am begging my husband to go with me Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon.  I will even take him to lunch before or after, his choice.  Who wouldn't take up that offer?

#5-  Preschool Thanksgiving Feast.  I am in the process of planning for the week of Thanksgiving in my preschool class.  We will be having a small "feast" for a snack on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  I hope it turns out and parents are willing to donate a few items so this broke teacher doesn't end up paying for it all. There are so many things I want to do with the kids and so little time.  One of the activities we have already started is making a book where the students tell me how to make a turkey.  The answers they are giving me are quite funny so far.  I will have to share a few of my favorites later this month.  Preschoolers sure think of the silliest things!

Throwback Thursday

As Evan is about to become a big brother, I can't help but look at pictures of him as an itty bitty baby.  Evan is Jonathan's cousin Lindsey's first born.  She is due this month with baby boy number two and we are all excited to meet him!  I am sure he will just as adorable as Evan was and I can't wait to shower him with love.

Five on Friday

This Friday couldn't have come soon enough.  Hopefully, this weekend takes it's time and goes nice and slow (dreaming I know). Thank you DarciAprilChristina and Natasha

ONE
Happy Birthday to my now sister-in-law Kelsey!  I am so happy to have gained two amazing sisters and hope that you have a great birthday!

TWO
Our 6 month wedding anniversary date to the Blue Jackets Game was definitely a success.  Even though they lost, we are already trying to plan our next trip to a game.

 THREE
Tinsley started her week off destroying two more Reds things (she must really not like them).  Monday she got into a 3 year old box of Vottos (like Cheerios) and destroyed the box and ate a little bit of them.  Tuesday she got ahold of the Joey Votto bobble head and destroyed the box and made a huge mess.
I can't stay mad at this face though.  This was right after I got her nails cut.  She is such a cutie.

FOUR
These came in the mail this week and I am so excited to wear them.  It is suppose to snow and rain next week so hopefully I can get some good use out of them then.  Now I just need some new grey boots and I'll be ready for winter.  Any suggestions on where to find a good pair of grey (preferably dark grey) boots?

FIVE
Conferences were this week and it took a toll on me.  Talking to parents all week is always interesting and I definitely had some not so fun altercations.  My babysitting job tonight was cancelled due to their whole family having strep throat.  This calls for an impromptu date night out to eat since I do not have dinner planned.  The hubs is rooting for Roosters for dinner although I haven't quite decided what sounds good.  As long as I can get a good drink, I will be there!

Hope you had a great week and even better weekend!  Cheers :)
