Five on Friday- Black Friday

I'm linking up today with the Five on Friday girls- A.Liz AdventuresCarolina CharmThe Good Life, and Hello Happiness! and the Oh Hey Friday girls- September Farm and The Farmer's Wife!

Happy Black Friday!  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  We have one more meal this evening with my husband's family.  Every other year we go to a cabin and unfortunately this is a year we don't go so we are having dinner tonight so everyone could be with the other side of their family's yesterday.

I used to go out super early with my best friend for black Friday.  Recently, I have been cashing in on all of the online deals. Here are five Black Friday deals I am hoping to cash in on today:

1.) Petsmart- They are offering free shipping on all orders and 50% off.  I plan on picking up some of Tinsley's favorite treats and a new toy or two for her stocking.

2.) Hello Apparel-  There sale started at midnight last night and hopefully I was able to snatch up a shirt or two for myself and possibly my sister-in-laws.

3.) Amazon-  My brother only does an Amazon wishlist each year that includes books mostly (very boring).  I am hoping some of his wish list will be on sale today or Cyber Monday for me to snatch up for him.

4.)  Victoria Secret-  I am in need of some new pajamas like last year.  I am hoping to get a cute pair here at a great price.  I already have my eye on a pair or two.

5.)  Michael's-  My husband and I don't normally exchange gifts.  This year I asked him if we could each wrap one thing for each other.  I am planning on making him something.  I have a list of craft supplies but with Michael's always having coupons if I don't get there today, it's no big deal.

There are a Few of My Favorite Things- Stocking Stuffers

Linking back up with AprilEliseKatie, and Zelle to share my stocking stuffers ideas.

1.)  Bath and Body Works Wall Plug In Refills-  We can always use more of these for our house and they fit in stockings perfectly.
Spiced Apple Toddy Wallflowers 2-Pack Refills - Home Fragrance - Bath & Body Works

2.)  Gift Cards-  Who doesn't love gift cards?  Chipotle, Panera, Starbucks, Target are all welcome in my stocking.  My husband would like some to Chipotle, Subway, and Home Depot.

3.) Alex and Ani Bracelet-  All jewelry fits well in a stocking and always appreciated.  I have been wanting a paw print one for a while and love this one.

4.)  Dog bone and treats:  Tinsley had this JW bone last year and loved it.  Her stocking will be filled with a new bone, a cheap squeaky toy since she loves to destroy them and a small bag of treats.
JW Pet Company 46125 EverTuff Treat Pod Nylon Toys for Pets, Large, White Bone with Colored Pods of Orange, Green, Blue

5.)  Coasters-  We currently have coasters of my sister-in-laws faces.  Although we love them, my husband has mentioned that he would like some new ones.  I haven't decided if I want to make some new ones or get him these from the Chive.

FIve on Friday- NYC

I'm linking up today with the Five on Friday girls- A.Liz AdventuresCarolina CharmThe Good Life, and Hello Happiness! and the Oh Hey Friday girls- September Farm and The Farmer's Wife!

My husband and I are on our way to New York City for the weekend and I am so excited.  This is his first time and my third-but first time in the fall.  Here are five things I am hoping we will get to see and experience together:

1.)  Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial-  last time I visited they were just starting to build this.  Can't wait to see it finished

2.)  Central Park-  I'm hoping it will be nice enough to walk around Central Park Sunday morning with a yummy coffee in hand :)

3.)  Times Square- Can't miss stop.

4.)  New York Stock Exchange-  This is one spot my husband has requested to see so we will have to make it happen.

5.)  Lots and Lots of good food-  We have a list of restaurants that people have recommended we try to go to and I am sure I will come back weighing 10 lbs more than when I left but that's what vacation is all about.

What's your favorite thing in New York City?

Christmas Outfits

This holiday season we will be attending many different events. We will need to dress nicer and classier for some, while others are more laid back and comfortable. Here are some of the outfits I am considering wearing.

These are a Few of my Favorite Things

Linking up with April, EliseKatie, and Zelle to share my favorite things this year.

1.) Hello Apparel Red Pullover Hoodie-  I have a crew sweatshirt and wear it all the time.  I think this red pullover is a must in my closet this winter.
Hello (Adult) Red Pullover Hoodie

2.)  Replacement FitBit Band in Navy or Pink or any color really-  I just got a new FitBit through my work for a great deal and am already tired of the black band.  I am hoping to get at least one colorful one to switch out to encourage me to wear it often.
1pc Replacement Wrist Band With Clasp for Fitbit Flex Only /No Tracker/ Wireless Activity Bracelet Sport Wristband Fit Bit Flex Bracelet Sport Arm Band Armband (Navy, Small)
3.)  New perfume-  I am currently out of all of my nice perfumes and am hoping I will get a new one for Christmas.

4.) OSU Long Sleeve TShirt- I could really use some new long sleeve shirts, especially a new Ohio State one.

Five on Friday- Got my Fix

I'm linking up today with the Five on Friday girls- A.Liz AdventuresCarolina CharmThe Good Life, and Hello Happiness!, the Oh Hey Friday girls- September Farm and The Farmer's Wife! and Friday Favorites with A Little Bit of EverythingMomfessionals, and Grace and Love.

Today I am sharing my most recent StitchFix.  If you don't know what StitchFix is, you pay $20-that can later be used towards your purchase and a stylist sends you 5 items based on a style profile you create.  When you recieve the 5 items, you have 3 days to decide what you want to keep or return.  I have gotten 2 boxes now, and have kept 1 item from each box, although I have liked all items.

This box I requested items I could wear to upcoming holiday events.  I was a little disappointed that I did not really receive winter items.  Here are the 5 items I received:

1.)  Demi Fold Over Vegan Leather Black Crossbody Purse by Street Level-  I completely forgot to take a picture of this.  I really liked it but have a black Coach crossbody that was similar in size that I use all the time.  I didn't see myself using both so I opted to not get it and keep using my nice Coach one.

2.) Danny 5-Pocket Knit Pant-  I have requested to mostly send shirts with an occasional pants.  I really liked these pants and they were super comfortable.  However, they were a little long and more than I would like to pay for pants.

3.)  Holly Lace Detail Graphic Print Blouse by Fun2Fun-  I really liked this top and almost kept it. It was the perfect price point and a great material.  The sleeve could be pulled up or kept down.  The only problem I had with it was that all of my tank tops I would wear under it showed.  I didn't love it because of this and won't buy something unless I love it.

4.) Burgdorf Diamond Printed Henley Blouse by Fun2Fun-  Again I really liked this top.  This was the only top they sent that was long sleeve also.  However, the sleeves were a little short and fit awkardly.  It was also a little bit more expensive than I would like to pay.

5.)  Aleah Heathered V-Neck Dolman Top by Market and Spruce-  I loved this top.  I can wear it with jeans, dress pants, or leggings.  It is comfortable and a great color.  This was an easy keeper.

I'm Back

I totally fell off the blog bandwagon last year.  However, we have started updating our office so I am hoping that will give me the motivation to start blogging again.  I absolutely love reading blogs and always think that I can do it too.  I hope that with new carpet and desk chair I will stick with it.  It also helps that my husband built and set up a new computer that we are both loving right now.  Now all we need to do is decorate and add a cozy spot for the pup with a new bone and toy.

Here's to hoping I keep up with the blog this year :)
